In this IMG activity you create records models for the case records. Case record models allow you to define the type and arrangement of objects in the case record (also known as linked objects).

Case record models are maintained in the modeler for case records. For more information on how to use the modeler, see the Records Management documentation in the SAP Library under Records Management Tools -> Processing Tool for Record Models: The Records Modeler -> Creating a Record Model.

You can use the activity Define Case Types to define which case record model should be used in which case type.

Before executing this activity, you must have executed the following activities:

  • Create RMS ID
  • Create element types

In the standard system, the case record model Dispute Management is in the following RMS:

  • UDM_DISPUTE, if you use Accounts Receivable Accounting (FI-AR)
  • UDM_FICA_DISPUTE, if you use Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)

Do not use the case record model Dispute Management delivered with the standard; create your own case record model. The case record model Dispute Management is only an example. SAP reserves the right to make non-compatible changes to the sample case record model Dispute Management. When you create your own case record model, you can use the case record model Dispute Management as template.

If, when you access the system, you have to enter an RMS ID, choose the RMS ID for which you want to create the case record model (you can use the F4 help).

Choose Modeler for case records from the menu Records and Case Models. Then use the right mouse button to create a model.

The case record model for SAP Dispute Management must have the form described below. (The column Element Type below contains only the name of an SAP business object type. When you maintain the records model, in the field Element Type enter an element type that you have created in the IMG activity Create Element Type for this SAP business object type.)

Case Records Model, if you use Accounts Receivable Accounting (FI-AR)

Case Records Model, if you use Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA)

Enhancements, if you use Workflow for Dispute Case Processing

Enhancements, if you use SAP Biller Direct

After these nodes, you can create customer-defined structure nodes in the records model and beneath these, customer-defined model or instance nodes.

Once you have create the records model, set the status Released (function key Model -> Change Status), so that the model can be used in Dispute Management. You can change the model later by adding nodes. You cannot delete nodes once they have been released.
