In this IMG activity, you create the role-based view for a user role for Dispute Case Processing. You define which element types are to be visible in the area Role-Based View on the left side of the screen for Dispute Case Processing for the user to whom the user role is assigned.

The creation of a role-based view for a role is optional. It is useful if the users need fewer element types for their work in the area Role-Based View in Dispute Case Processing than defined in the RMS.

You have defined the user role for which you want to create a role-based view.

You have created the element types that are to be available in the role-based view.

The standard setting does not contain a role-based view for the RMS UDM_DISPUTE. This means that in the standard configuration, all element types defined in the RMS UDM_DISPUTE are visible for the user on the left side of the screen in the area Role-Based View in Dispute Case Processing.

  1. On the screen View Generator: Initial Screen, enter the following data:
  • Role: User role for which you want to create, change, or copy the role-based view

  • RMS: RMS-ID in which the role-based view is to be valid. The role-based view can only contain element types and elements that are in this RMS.

  1. Choose Create, Change, or Copy.

The screen Change View: ()()(<Status>) appears.
  2. To configure the role-based view, place the cursor on the relevant node(s), choose Activities, and then use the functions offered.
  3. Save your entries.
  4. To transport the role-based view, on the screen View Generator: Initial Screen, choose the function Transport View. In the dialog box, enter a transport request and choose Continue.

In addition to the element types for dispute cases and the dispute case search, you have also defined additional element types in your RMS, and you can use these with dispute cases. These are, for example, element types for SAP business objects, case notes, and case records. To simplify the Role-Based View on the left side of the screen in Dispute Case Processing for your end users, in this IMG activity you could define a role-based view that only contains the element types for dispute cases, the dispute case search, and for My Dispute Cases.

This is only useful if your end users do not require any further element types in the Role-Based View.
