For each case type, define statuses that are set in the dispute case by the process integration if the dispute case is automatically closed, automatically written off, or automatically reopened.

For each case type, define the status for automatic status changes:

  • Reopen Automatically: In this field, enter the status that the system is to set when the dispute case is reopened automatically. This must be a status that is assigned to the system status 10 New or the system status 20 In Process.

A dispute case is reopened automatically when a resolved item in a closed dispute case becomes an open item again due to a clearing reset, and therefore a disputed item in a dispute case.
  • Automatically Written Off: In this field, enter the status that the system is to set when you close a dispute case if the items in the dispute case are written off by the SAP Dispute Management automatic write-off function. System status 30 Closed must be assigned to the status that you enter in this field.

If you do not use the automatic write-off function, you do not have to define a status in this field.
  • Close Automatically: In this field, define a status for closing dispute cases automatically if you want dispute cases that no longer contain disputed items to be closed by the system automatically. The system then closes the dispute case automatically during clearing of the last disputed open item if there are no further disputed objects in the dispute case.
If you do not want dispute cases that contain no open disputed items to be closed by the system automatically, and want users to close the dispute cases manually instead, do not define a status in this field.

System status 30 Closed must be assigned to the status that you define in this field.
