DPVMSC_NAVTAB_V - Define Screen Navigation

In this Customizing activity, you define all navigation relevant information, so that you can adapt the navigation to your own processes and needs.

It is possible to influence the navigation behaviour of every Web Dynpro UI element, from where actions can be triggered. The following fields can be defined:

  • WD Component Name
Usual case: define the Web Dynpro component name of the triggered action
Exceptions:
  • CONFIGURATOR: trigger the navigation to the configurator

  • DPVMS_WORK_OVERVIEW: trigger the navigation from a personal object worklist (POWL) ALV

  • WD View
Usual case: define the Web Dynpro view name of the triggered action
Exceptions:
  • CONFIGURATOR: trigger the navigation to the configurator

  • Specific POWL type instead of Web Dynpro view name: trigger the navigation from a POWL ALV

  • Initial: action was triggered by a UI element located in an Floor Plan Manager (FPM) toolbar

  • WD Action
Usual case: define any string that identifies the triggered action
Exceptions:
  • TO_CONFIGURATOR: trigger the navigation to the configurator

  • CHOOSE_UACTION: trigger a navigation from the button choice Choose User Action.

  • SHOW_FOREIGN_VEHI_DT: this can be used to navigate to another detail screen for vehicles, which do not belong to the current user/dealer. The detail screen could look completely different compared to the usual detail screen.

  • Operation Type
Usual case:define an operation type which is available in the Customizing activityDefine Operation Types
Exceptions:
  • Initial: when no operation type is involved

  • Function
Usual case: define a function which is available in the Customizing activity Define Functions
Exceptions:
  • Initial: when no function is involved

  • Launchpad Alias:
Usual case: define a launchpad alias which is maintained in the transaction LPD_CUST. This is the connection to the launchpad Customizing where the navigation target repository is defined.
  • WD Component Name:
Usual case: define a Web Dynpro component name, which is intended to be used as a function screen.
Exceptions:
  • Initial: when navigation target is not a function screen

  • WD Configuration ID:
Usual case: define a Web Dynpro application configuration ID, which is intended to be used as a detail screen.
Exceptions:
  • Initial: when the navigation target is not a detail screen

  • For Portal Content und NetWeaver Business Client, you have executed the transaction LPD_CUST.
  • For changing or creating the Portal Content navigation, your have executed the following steps in the Portal Content Studio:
  1. You have created the respective business objects.
  2. You have created the respective iViews.
  3. You have assigned the business objects to the iViews.
  4. You have assigned the iView to the role.

  • For changing or creating the NetWeaver Business Client navigation, you have executed the following steps:
  1. You have created the respective business objects using transaction SWO1.

  1. You have created roles, role menus, and you have assigned the users using transaction PFCG.

  1. You have assigned the business objects to the Web Dynpro application using transaction PFCG.
