DRB_1_6 - Settings for Integration of Distributed Systems
Fill RESBD Structure from EBP Component Structure ROGBILLS - Synchronize billing plansThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
With the DRB, you can follow process chains or business transactions even if they are distributed over several systems (via ALE). This applies both to the determination of linked documents and displaying them.
Usually, you do not have to carry out any additional setting activities for this since the same connections
are required for the DRB as for the cross-system processes or transactions themselves. For the connections
between the individual systems the DRB uses the relevant standard destinations. The RFC destinations
may be configured such that there are no standard destinations, but there are destinations for special method calls. This setting is then also necessary for the DRB.
You should also make a setting here if the destinations for the DRB methods are to be different to those of other methods.
RFC connections must already exist for this activity. You can check the RFC connections in the Implementation Guide for Application Link Enabling in the activity Create RFC Connections and change them if necessary.
If you do not make any settings, no special destinations are entered for the DRB. This usually means that the standard destination for dialog methods is used to display an object from a remote system. Forall other DRB functions that can refer to remote systems, the standard destination for BAPIs is used.
Check whether suitable RFC destinations have been defined for all logical systems involved.
If you want to enter the RFC destinations specifically for the respective methods, use the object type DRB and the following methods.
- ObjectDisplay
The DRB calls up this dialog method to display a remote object.
- NeighboursGet
The DRB calls up this method to determine the objects linked to a remote object.
- ObjectkeyFormat
The DRB calls up this method to format the object key for a remote object.
- OriginGet
The DRB calls up this method to determine whether a remote object is on the database or in the archive.
