SAP E-Book

In this setup activity, you can define source types for cross-database comparison. When defining a comparison object, you can select the data source from which the system extracts the data to be compared.

The following source types are provided with the standard delivery:

  • SAP ABAP system (RFC to generated extractor)
  • SAP ABAP system (RFC to generic extractor)
  • Remote database (using ADBC)
  • Business intelligence (MDX query)
  • CSV file on application server
  • XML file on local PC
  • XML file on application server
  • Comparison in one HANA database
  • Determine missing entries in one system (IDC)
  • OData service
  1. Define a source type.
Enter a name and a description, as well as an implementing class which implements this source type. It has to implement interface IF_DSWP_CDC_SOURCE.
Select the required attributes for the source type. For more information, see the field help.
  1. Define the source type connection parameters. They determine the system behavior when entering data for the source type during cross-data comparison. For more information, see the field help.

For more information about cross-database comparison, see http://help.sap.com/solutionmanager72 -> Application Help -> -> Business Process Operations -> Data Consistency Management -> Cross-Database Comparison.
