In this IMG activity you can activate additional functions for Enterprise Asset Management. You can choose the relevant Customizing parameters from the dropdown list and select the Active checkbox to activate it.

Document Assignment on the SAP Web User Interface

  • PM087_WD: Document Assignment in Web Dynpro
This function enables you to display, create, and assign relevant documents when processing maintenance orders on the SAP Web user interface for Plant Maintenance. You can create new documents or search for existing documents and assign them at order level or operation level. You can navigate to the display of each document info record and open the original file of each document as long as it is stored on a central document server. You can also display documents that are not directly assigned to the maintenance order but are assigned to a dependent object (such as an assembly). In the list, you can search for documents, define and manage filters, and sort documents.
  • DOC_TL_WD: Document Assignment to Task List in Web Dynpro
This function enables you to display and assign relevant documents at header and operation level when processing task lists on SAP Web user interface for Plant Maintenance.

Activities:
You can only use the document assignment on the SAP Web User Interface if you have activated the business functions Simplified Management of EAM Functions 2 (LOG_EAM_SIMPLICITY_2) and Enterprise Asset Management Part 6 (LOG_EAM_CI_6).
If you also activate business function EAM, Integration with SAP 3D Visual Enterprise (LOG_EAM_VE_INT), the system selects the Active checkbox for the Document Assignment in Web Dynpro function automatically. You cannot activate the function Document Assignment to Task List in Web Dynpro without having activated the Customizing parameter PM087_WD before.
If you do not activate business function LOG_EAM_VE_INT you have to define the appropriate Customizing settings for Document Management manually. For more information, see SAP note 1821916.
