This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in SAP Geographical Enablement Framework, extension for SAP EAM.

You can use this BAdI to fill in a data structure for a maintenance object.

This structure is passed to the SAP Geographical Enablement Framework(GEF). The framework uses the data structure for the following:

  • Determine if the object is geo-enabled or not
  • Determine if any geometry exists for the object
  • Display the attributes in the structure when you select an object on the map, in the Geo Editorand Geo Explorerapps
  • Show attributes of the objects in the result list of the search page in the Geo Editorapp
  • Determine what attributes you can use to filter geo objects in the GEF Customizing activityConfigure the Framework

You can define a new data structure in transaction SE11. Make sure that its type is structure.

For information about implementing BAdIs as part of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.

There are four sample data structures:

  • EAMS_S_GEF_SRV_EQUI
  • EAMS_S_GEF_SRV_FL
  • EAMS_S_GEF_SRV_NTF
  • EAMS_S_GEF_SRV_ORDER
