In this activity, you can define:

  • Whether just one purchase requisition (collective purchase requisition) should be generated for externally procured components and external operations for each order
  • Whether a workflow should be generated for changes to dates and quantities for externally procured components, external operations, and external elements, if a purchase requisition is already available
  • Whether reservations or purchase requisitions relevant to materials planning should be generated when an order is created or only when the order is released
  • Whether the net price should be copied unchanged from the purchase requisition into the purchase order

  • If you do not flag the CollReqstn (collective purchase requisition) field, an internal purchase requisition with an item is generated for each external operation and externally procured component.
  • You do not select the field Res/PurRq(reservation/purchase requisition). As a result, purchase requisitions are only generated when the order is released, and reservations only become relevant to materials planning once the order has been released.

Reservation/Purchase Requisition indicator

If you select this field, reservations of stock components that are relevant to materials planning are generated when the order is created and not when the order is released. The same applies to purchase requisitions for external procurement. This setting is copied to the order header as a default value and can be changed by the order processor in the order.

You should always deactivate this indicator if you create orders with a long lead time and rescheduling is expected within this time. You can thereby avoid unwanted and frequent changes to materials planning before the order is released.
