This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Document Compliance Framework(CA-GTF-CSC-EDO) component. You can use this BAdI to adapt the generic e-mail you send to your customers to your business needs. By implementing this method, you can, for example, define the details of the e-mail, such as address and subject fields, body text of the e-mail or format or number of attachments.

This BAdI uses the method Change Email that will be sent to the Customer (EDOC_PART_CONN_CHANGE_EMAIL). You can find some information about the method parameters below:

  • Importing parameters (read-only)
The table parameter COMPANYEMAILADDRESSES contains the e-mail addresses associated with the company code of the eDocument.
The table parameter CUSTOMEREMAILADDRESSES contains the e-mail addresses associated to the customer.
For both parameters, there can be multiple lines. The e-mail address can be found in the field SMTP_ADDR.
The EDOCUMENT parameter contains data about the electronic document, such as company code, source key, creation date etc.
  • Changing parameter
The parameters starting with EMAIL* refer to properties of the e-mail, such as subject, sender, recipients or text.
The parameters starting with ATTACHMENT* refer to properties of the e-mail attachment.
Note that the XML file of the eDocument is attached to the e-mail per default. The attachment parameters are prefilled with the respective content.
An e-mail can only have one attachment at a time.

The electronic document processing solution uses the BCS (Business Communication Services) framework to generate a generic e-mail to your customers.

Note: SAP is not responsible for damages caused by gaps in the security of your e-mail implementation, such as the presence of viruses in e-mail attachments among other security issues. You have the option to use the parameters for the virus scan profiles of the BCS framework.
