EDOC_PE_NUMV - Assign Number Ranges to Document Types

In this Customizing activity you assign series and number ranges to the eDocument types for Peru.

The Variable Keyfield enables you to do the following:

• You can use different number ranges for the same eDocument types. A use case is, for example, if want to use different number ranges for different organizational entities like branch, business places, or plants.

• You can use the same document types for invoice and boleta. Since the series must be different, you can implement different variable keys depending on eDocument type.

The Variable Key field is determined by the GET_VARIABLE_KEY method of the eDocument Adaptor BAdI.

Example for Peru:

An eDocument for Peru has the number:

01-F001-00000259

The settings you did in this customizing, determined that this document of type invoice (01) has the series (F001) and uses the number range interval 1 (included the numbers 00000001 until 10000000).
