SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you can define the external regulatory content providers, from which you want to import compliance requirements into Environment Management (consumer system). To enable the integration between the provider and consumer systems, you need to create a logical port that contains the connection settings for secure communication and specify this logical port in the current Customizing activity. Normally, to establish a connection, the content providers potentially require additional specific parameters, such as information about used certificates, supplementary authentication mechanisms, specific conversions, information control parameters, or anything else that is potentially needed for the secure and correct communication between the systems. When you specify content provider systems in this Customizing activity, you can specify up to three additional content provider parameters that are unique and specific for each content provider system.

  • You have created a consumer proxy and a client application in Environment Management that are needed for the consumption of a Web service definition at the content provider side.
  • You have created and configured a logical port for the consumer proxy.
  • You have information about the additional parameter settings that are required by the content provider.

To integrate the Environment Management system with a regulatory content provider, such as RegScan, you have to specify the following settings:

  • Content Provider - A unique name used to identify the integrated content provider, for example: REGSCAN.
  • Logical Port Name - Name of the logical port created and configured for the generated Web service proxy in Environment Management, for example: REGSCAN_LogPort.
  • Content Provider Parameter - User name representation used by RegScan to identify the client system (Environment Management), for example: SAP.
  • Content Provider Parameter - Unique number of the certificate issued by RegScan and used by the Environment Management system for the connection, for example ABC123-DEFG4567-HI89.
  • Content Provider Parameter - Optional indicator parameter for requesting all regulations available for import, regardless of whether they were sent already or not. For example, if you want to retrieve all regulations with every request, enter X in this field.
  • Content Provider Web Service Delay Parameter- Parameter for the frequency of data retrieval from the content provider. The unit of measurement used for setting up this parameter is minutes (min).

Initial Configuration Settings for RegScan Integration

For the initial setup of communication between the Environment Managementsystem and the system of external content provider RegScan, you need to make the following configuration steps:

1. Import certificates:

1.1. You need to add the RegScan certificate as trusted in ABAPNetWeaver, so that RegScan WSDL can be accessed via https protocol during proxy generation. You do this in the TRUST transaction, where you enhance the node SSL Client Anonymous. This is also required for web service calls.
1.2. Start Trust Manager (transaction TRUST) and import the RegScan certificate in the following nodes:
- SSL client SSL Client (Anonymous)
- SSL client SSL Client (Standard)

2. Create a consumer proxy (user-defined).

Note: The consumer proxy is delivered as standard delivery with the system.

3. Create a logical port:

3.1. Start transaction soamanager for web service consumer ‘CLASCO_EHFNDS_WS_RNSERVICE_SOAP’ in package ‘EHFND_BO_COMPLIANCE_REQ_IMPORT’.
3.2. Choose Web Service Configuration.
3.3.Choose Manual Configuration.
3.4. Enter the logical port name and description. Note that the same name should be used in the Customizing activity.
3.5. Choose Next.
3.6. Enter the ID and password provided with the RegScan license. Navigate to the next step, HTTPSettings.
3.7. For URL, enter the link https://one.regscan.com:443/watchservice/service.asmx.
3.8. Choose Next.
3.9. On the SOAP Protocol step, select Suppress ID Transferfrom the Message ID Protocoldropdown.
3.10.Skip the Identifiable Business Context step and proceed to Operation Settings.
3.11. For each operation in the operation list, choose the Use non-default value for SOAP Actioncheckbox and enter the link http://gcs.regscan.com/watchservice/GetChanges.
3.12. When you are done, choose Finish.

4. Test the service:

4.1. In the Web Service Configurationunder the details of the consumer proxy choose the Configurations tab. Choose Test from the Actions column.
4.2. Select Logical Port name and Method to execute.
4.3. Provide the following information:
- Logical Port Name: REGSCAN_PORT
-Method name: GET_SAMPLE_FEED
4.4. Choose the Execute button.

Note: The generated Proxy class is ‘CO_EHFNDS_WS_RNSERVICE_SOAP’.
