EHFND_LOC_EMTAB - Toggle Visibility of Environmental Details in Locations

In this organizational activity, you can learn about how to enhance the Edit Location application to include an additional tab with details related to the environment management component. This tab enables the users to visualize and assign additional location parameters (such as, location classifiers) that are needed for the environment related use cases.

The additional tab is available for roles that meet all the following criteria:

• Roles that are assigned in the system (transaction SU01).

• Roles that are specified in Customizing under the activity Specify Roles for Environment Management.

• The Manage check box is selected for the specified roles.

The standard system is delivered with the environmental manager role (SAP_EHSM_HSS_ENVMGR), specified in Customizing. By default, the additional Environmental Details tab is available for this role.

To enable the Environmental Details tab on the Edit Location application for a specific user role, perform the following steps:

1. Open the Customizing activity Specify Roles for Environment Management for editing.
2. Optionally, add new user roles.
3. Select the Manage checkbox of the role, for which you want to enable the Environmental Details tab.
4. Save your entries.
5. Make sure that the role configured in the activity is also assigned to the corresponding user in transaction SU01.
