EHFND_PC_JOB_DEF - Schedule Jobs for Product Compliance Background Processing

In this Customizing activity, you define background jobs for Product Compliance. This step is necessary only if you have chosen not to use the Technical Job Repository as described in the Customizing activity Activation of Scope-Dependent Background Job Definitions

  • Job SAP_EHFND_PC_CONTENT_LOAD imports phrases and graphics from a file in the MIME repository into the database. See R_EHFND_PC_CONTENT_LOAD.
  • Job SAP_EHFND_PC_SRVREQ_REFRESH synchronizes the status of safety data sheets requested from a connected system of a service provider for regulatory documentation that provides the safety data sheets. See RR_EHFND_PC_SRVREQ_REFRESH.
  • Job SAP_EHPMA_SVT schedules the recurring SVT Periodic Tracking Requested event that triggers the processing of material documents and logistics documents created in the time since the last event run. See R_EHPMA_SVT_BACKGROUND_JOB.

Check within the SAP system whether the described jobs already exist and if they are already scheduled.

Call transaction SE38 in the SAP system for the client you require and, from the menu, choose System -> Services -> Jobs -> Define Job and look up the jobs.

Create Jobs

If the jobs don't exist, create them manually as follows.

Job SAP_EHFND_PCEP

  1. Call the Customizing activity SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → Product Compliance → Foundation for Product Compliance → Product Compliance Background Processing → Schedule Jobs for Product Compliance Background Processing.
  2. Enter the job name SAP_EHFND_PCEP.
  3. Enter the job class C.
  4. Choose Start Condition. In the dialog that appears, choose After Event and enter the following data:
  • Event: SAP_EHFND_PCEP_EVT_CRTED

  • Parameter: (your client, such as 001)

  • Select the Periodic Job checkbox.

  1. In the dialog, choose Check, and then choose Save.
  2. On the Define Job screen, choose Step.
  3. In the dialog, enter the ABAP program name R_EHFND_PCEP_EVT_QUEUE_WORKER.
  4. Choose Check, and then choose Save.

Job SAP_EHFND_PC_CONTENT_LOAD

  1. If you have just added the previous job, navigate back. Otherwise, call the Customizing activity SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → Product Compliance → Foundation for Product Compliance → Product Compliance Background Processing → Schedule Jobs for Product Compliance Background Processing.
  2. Enter the job name SAP_EHFND_PC_CONTENT_LOAD.
  3. Enter the job class C.
  4. Choose Start Condition.
  5. In the dialog, choose Immediate and select the Periodic Job checkbox.
  6. Choose Period Values.
  7. Choose Other period.
  8. In the Hour(s) field, enter 2, and then choose Save.
  9. In the Start Time dialog, choose Check, and then choose Save.

SAP_EHFND_PC_SRVREQ_REFRESH

  1. If you have just added the previous job, navigate back. Otherwise, call the Customizing activity SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → Product Compliance → Foundation for Product Compliance → Product Compliance Background Processing → Schedule Jobs for Product Compliance Background Processing.
  2. Enter the job name SAP_EHFND_PC_SRVREQ_REFRESH.
  3. Enter the job class C.
  4. Choose Start Condition.
  5. In the dialog, choose Immediate and select the Periodic Job checkbox.
  6. Choose Period Values.
  7. Choose Other period.
  8. In the Hour(s) field, enter 6, and then choose Save.

Job SAP_EHPMA_SVT

  1. If you have just added the previous job, navigate back. Otherwise, call the Customizing activity SAP Customizing Implementation Guide → Product Compliance → Foundation for Product Compliance → Product Compliance Background Processing → Schedule Jobs for Product Compliance Background Processing.
  2. Enter the job name SAP_EHPMA_SVT.
  3. Enter the job class C.
  4. Choose Start Condition.
  5. In the dialog, choose Immediate and select the Periodic Job checkbox.
  6. Choose Period Values.
  7. Choose Other period.
  8. In the Hour(s) field, enter 6, and then choose Save.
