In this Customizing activity, you can define sets of tonnage bands. A tonnage band set comprises tonnage bands with a name, a lower limit and an upper limit, and the unit of measure. In some countries, you are free to define your own tonnage bands, in other countries they are predefined by regulations, for example, in the USA by the U.S. Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA).
- Create a new tonnage band set and define the tonnage bands.
- If regulations apply to your location, define the tonnage bands according to the requirements.
- In the Customizing activity Configure Hazardous Substance Inventory, assign the tonnage band sets to the corresponding plants.
