EHPRC_SIMG_00014 - Specify Spreadsheet Reports
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES - Frontend Services PERFORM Short ReferenceThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you can specify settings and thresholds for spreadsheet reports. Spreadsheet reports can contain several worksheets used to represent the report data, for example, the All Substance Data spreadsheet report.
When spreadsheet reports are created in the background, a job is created and is started immediately. In this case, you receive the prepared report via e-mail. The system sends an e-mail for each package of substances.
- You have installed Microsoft Excel 2002 (or higher) or a similar spreadsheet program. Spreadsheet reporting exports the data in XML or XLS format. The data is then displayed in a spreadsheet.
- For background processing, you have checked the settings for the P02 and P03 e-mail texts that are sent to the report recipient in the Specify Campaign and E-Mail Configuration Customizing activity. The following settings are required:
- P02,,Reporting (Positive) - Default phrase used prot_mail_body_P01
- P03,,Reporting (Negative) - Default phrase used prot_mail_body_P02
The standard system is delivered with examples.
Check the standard settings and adapt them, if necessary:
- You can use the Maximum Number of Selected Substances and Maximum Number of Substances x Worksheets parameters to restrict the data capacity for creating reports.
- If you want to generate spreadsheet reports for a large number of substances (for example, all substance data in the system), we recommend that you use background reporting. Increase the values in the
Background Threshold Number of Selected Substances and
Background Threshold Number of Substances
x Worksheets fields to set when reports are created in the background and check the package size
for the spreadsheet report by specifying the PFR_BGR_PKG_
environment parameter in the Specify Environment Parameters for Back-End Processes Customizing activity. You can use the Simple Job Selection transaction to analyze any problems with background jobs.
