EHQMNUMGRP - Specify Number Ranges for Code Groups

In this IMG activity, you define the number ranges for code groups.

There are two types of number assignment:

  • Internal number assignment
The SAP system automatically assigns a sequence number from the number range interval that you have specified.
  • External number assignment
You must specify a number from the permitted number range interval.

You need authorization for the number range object EHQMN_GRP, to allow you to define number ranges for code groups. This object is checked in authorization object S_NUMBER.

Number ranges are predefined in the SAP standard settings.

  1. Take note of the SAP-predefined number keys.
  2. Change or delete the number ranges contained in the SAP standard system, as required.
  3. Specify the internal and external number ranges with number range intervals.
