In this Customizing activity, you define the number ranges for the import requests in inbound processing of ESComXML files.

When numbers are assigned, the SAP system assigns sequence numbers for import requests of ESComXML files automatically from the number range interval that you have specified.

You have authorization for number range object ESN_ESC_IR. This object is checked in authorization object S_NUMBER.

The number ranges are predefined in the standard system.

Check whether number range interval 01 has been created. If this number range interval does not exist, specify the following values:

  • Number range number: 01
  • From number: 1
  • To number: 8999999
  • Current number level: 1
  • Indicator for internal (' ') or external ('X') number range: [blank]
