SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you specify fields and their sequence that is displayed as context information for the objects that are determined in the log for the creation of change documents for specifications. These objects could be, for example:

Table name Object
ESTRH Header data
ESTRI Identifier
ESTRR Reference
ESTST Status
ESTMJ Material assignment
ESTDR Value assignment assessment
ESTDU Value assignment usage
ESTDS Value assignment source
ESTDF User-defined text
ESTVP Value assignment item (composition)
EST07 Transport approval
EST0B Packaging code approval
EST0D Risk classification
EST0F Transport classification

Notes:

  • The tables ESTRL (regulatory list assignment) and ESTVA (value assignment) are not supported for the definition of the context.
  • To display the logged fields of tables in table form, use the report program RC1_CHANGE_DOCS_LOG_FIELDS_DPL (transaction SE38).

Objects are determined in the change document that were:

  • Created
  • Deleted
  • Changed
Changes that were made through reference or inheritance are specially marked.

Apart from context information, for each object, the system displays the change date, change time, and the user name of the person who last changed the data.

EST0F

You can specify the context for changed identifiers using the following entries:

Table name Field name Sort. seq. Meaning
ESTRI IDTYPE 1 Identifier cat. in 1st position
ESTRI IDCAT 2 Identifier type in 2nd position
ESTRI IDENT 3 Identification in 3rd position

You can specify the context for changed packaging code approvals using the following entries:

Table name Field name Sort. seq. Meaning
EST0B DPOT 1 Risk potential in 1st position
ESTOB PACOD 2 Packaging code in 2nd position

When you have saved the entries, you can display the log for change document creation by choosing Extras -> Change Document Log in the initial screen for specification editing. If changes were made to identifiers or the packaging code approval, the old and new data is displayed together with the defined context.

For the creation of change documents:

  • CD_PROTOCOL_SAVE_PERIOD

  • CD_PROTOCOL_START_DATE

  • CD_PROTOCOL_START_TIME

  • Deactivate change document creation for specifications and phrases using the environment parameter CD_NO_CHANGE_DOCS_AT_SPEC_PHRS

For more information about the parameters, see the documentation for the IMG activity.
