EHS_MD_120_10_10_1 - Define Characteristic Groups

Characteristics groups are used to group together similar characteristics or characteristics that belong together. They facilitate searching for characteristics when editing characteristics or assigning characteristics to classes. Characteristics groups are of no importance to the end user working with specification management.

In this step, you can group similar characteristics together in characteristics groups. You can then use the characteristics group to find individual characteristics. For example, you may want to group together all characteristics that refer to a length.

1. Decide how you want to organize the characteristics you have created.
2. Define characteristics groups as required.
