EHS_MD_120_30_4 - Set Up Property Trees
Addresses (Business Address Services) General Data in Customer MasterThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this IMG activity, you add new properties to property trees or create new property trees.
You have created the required value assignment types under Specify Value Assignment Types. If you want to use value assignment types as nodes in the property tree, you must define them as value assignment category E.
A property tree with key "STANDARD" is delivered with the standard system. The system uses this tree as default.
If you use your system with a standard configuration, we recommend that you copy the standard property tree with its original structure to a different key. This ensures that you can call the standard properties via this property tree at any time.
- Call the IMG activity and select the property tree to be edited. To create a property tree, choose New entries.
- In the navigation area, choose Value Assignment Type Assignment.
- Enter numbers in ascending order for the values of the ID field with large enough intervals between the numbers so that you have room to insert value assignment types in your property tree later.
- You use the number in the Level field to define the level on which a value assignment type is to be added. For example:
ID | Level | Value assignment type key |
---|---|---|
1 | 1 | SAP_EHS_1000 |
100000 | 2 | SAP_EHS_1010 |
100100 | 3 | SAP_EHS_1010_001 |
100200 | 3 | SAP_EHS_1010_002 |
150000 | 2 | SAP_EHS_1011 |
150100 | 3 | SAP_EHS_1011_001 |
150200 | 3 | SAP_EHS_1011_002 |
150300 | 3 | SAP_EHS_1011_003 |
- The lowest ID stands for the root (ID 1, level 1). Note that the ID of the root node must be 1. The next value assignment type with level 2 is also a node and therefore must have the same value assignment category as the root (E). The corresponding value assignment types for level 3 are leaves on the node and have value assignment category A (property), B (listing), or C (composition).
- If you want to add value assignment types to the existing tree, search for the appropriate point in the tree and insert the value assignment type.
- Save your entries.
Property trees can be changed at any time. Note that you cannot work with properties that are not included in any property tree.
Using the report RC1PTDIF, you can display the changes between two standard property trees in different clients.
