SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you check the standard settings that are needed to export the report in addition to the Basic Settings.

In the SAP component Basic Data and Tools, the report export has been implemented in Dok-X format.

Notes:

  • The report export is a special variant of report shipping and is integrated in Customizing for report shipping in Product Safety.
While report shipping can be started immediately or in the background, the report export always runs in the background. The export request must be created manually only when a report is exported for the first time. Further processing is carried out in the background with the jobs that are periodically set up for report shipping.
  • In addition to the report export of individual reports using the report information system (Dok-X report export), you also have the option of exporting EH&S reports using a program based on various criteria. You can run the export in the formats supported by the program Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) (see the IMG activity Report Export by Program: Check Additional Settings).

Report export was integrated into Customizing for report shipping (Product Safety component). Check the settings in the following IMG activities in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools:

Check the following assignments of User exit category/User exit name:
  • SRE_EXPOMN / DOKX_EXOMN:

Function module that is defined for triggering export request creation manually. The Dok-X export requests are created for the transferred reports.
  • SRE_SUBSEQ / EHS_DOKX_E:

Function module that automatically determines all reports intended for the Dok-X export and creates the Dok-X export requests for them.
  • SRE_DIST / EHS_SAVE_S:

Backup function module that deletes all Dok-X export requests with status Historical except for the most recent one.
  • SRE_DIST / EHS_SEND_S:

Function module that writes the final report to a predefined directory on the application server and defines the Dok-X format.
Check the environment parameter RE_LAST_EXPORT (Date of the last Dok-X export).

Check the settings in the following IMG activities in Customizing for Product Safety:

Check whether the standard entry EXP_CALL exists and also the detail entries via Goto -> Details.
Check whether the following data exists and check the detail entries:
  • Communication type: RML

  • Communication group: NFS

NFS can be used to form one uniform file system in one network between two different file systems and thus enable the transfer of files between them both.
Check the following entry that defines the type of data exchange when carrying out Dok-X export:
If the reason is EXP_CALL, the reason type is DOKX_EXP, and the business process is MSDS_DIST, the communication type RML and communication group NFS is used.
Check the following entry and the corresponding details via Goto → Details:
If the communication type is RML and the communication group is NFS, the shipping object STD_MAIL is used.
Check the following assignments:
  • For communication type RML and communication group NFS, the following assignments have been made:

Exit category: GENERATE
User exit category/User exit name: SRE_DIST / EHS_GEN
  • For reason EXP_CALL, reason type DOKX_EXP, and business process MSDS_DIST, the following assignments have been made:

1st assignment:
Exit category: SEND
User exit category/User exit name: SRE_DIST / EHS_SEND_S
2nd assignment:
Exit category: SAVE
User exit category/User exit name: SRE_DIST / EHS_SAVE_S
