In this customizing activity, you make some central settings for the federated search.

Configure the following settings:

  • Define the timeout for the federated search.
  • Define the number values for the interactive navigation attributes.
  • Define a server group for parallelization of searches.

For more information, see the F1 help of the parameters.

The search method (fuzziness) is not configured here anymore, but in the UI Define Search Behavior. The new Fuzzy Search is configured column-wise via semantics, to be added to search fields. Setting a global search mode, e.g. for activating fuzzy search for all applications and all searchable objects is not required anymore but is still possible by changing the settings of the GLOBAL entry in the Define Search Behavior UI.
