ERC_COMPARISON_CATEG - Create Categories

In this Customizing activity, you create user-defined categories, for example, if you want to add additional fields to the candidate short profile for the Candidate Comparison function.

A category groups together fields that are to be evaluated together for the data retrieval by the same BAdI implementation. You require the categories in the Customizing activity Add Fields to Field Selection Catalog.

Each category corresponds to the filter value of an implementation of the Business Add-In (BAdI) BADI_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS of the enhancement spot HRTMC_DATA_RETRIEVAL. The category then determines which BAdI implementation the system calls to evaluate the fields of this category.

In the standard system, SAP delivers the category SAP_CAND (Candidate Data).

1. If necessary, create user-defined categories. We recommend the following naming convention: ERC_*.
2. In the Customizing activity BAdI: Evaluate Fields for Data Retrieval, make sure that this category is used as the filter value in a user-defined implementation of the BAdI BADI_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS.
