In this Customizing activity, you can add your own fields to the field selection that is provided in the value help in the Customizing activity Create Configuration with Field Groups.

To enable the system to supply these fields with data, you have to make sure that these user-defined fields are included in a (user-defined) implementation of the BAdI definition BADI_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS. This implementation must use as the filter value the category that you specified for the user-defined fields. In addition to the field name and the category, you also define the BAdI field name with which the field is addressed in the BAdI methods.

SAP delivers standard fields that follow the naming convention SAP_ERC_*. These fields are assigned to the category SAP_CAND (Candidate Data).

1. If necessary, add user-defined fields to the field selection. We recommend the following naming convention: ERC_*.
2. Assign a category to these fields.
3. In the Customizing activity BAdI: Evaluate Fields for Data Retrieval, make sure that the fields are included in a user-defined BAdI implementation that uses the assigned category as a filter value.
