SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you specify services in the system that can be performed periodically. To do so, you assign each service a class containing instructions on how to perform the service.

In order for a class that is assigned to a periodic service to be able to be called, it must implement the interface IF_HRRCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICE.

The Periodic Services table is a system table with a separate namespace for customer entries.

The customer namespace is: Service Z*

A range of periodic services are delivered in the standard system that are required for the search within E-Recruiting. The search engine Search and Classification (TREX) does not search using the operational data, but rather using search profiles. These are an extract of the operational data. To keep the database up-to-date for the search, the search profiles must be updated periodically. For the same reason, the documents that are included for the full-text search and the search profiles must be indexed from time to time and communicated to the search engine TREX. This indexing is performed by TREX and is prepared and activated using the service INDEX_DOCUMENTS.

Note
As of TREX version 7.10.18.0, the system indexes the content of the documents as part of the search profile. Therefore, you no longer need to schedule the INDEX_DOCUMENTS service.

Service Description
CREATE_SP_FOR_CANDIDATE Create Search Profiles for Candidates
CREATE_SP_FOR_EXT_POSTINGS Create Search Profiles for External Postings
CREATE_SP_FOR_INT_POSTINGS Create Search Profiles for Internal Postings
CREATE_SP_FOR_CANDIDACY Create Search Profiles for Assignments (Candidate/Requisition and Application/Requisition)
CREATE_SP_FOR_REQUISITION Create Search Profiles for Requisitions
INDEX_DOCUMENTS Indexing of Documents and Search Profiles
DISPATCH_CPOINTER_FOR_CAND Create Search Profiles for Candidates
DISPATCH_CPOINTER_FOR_PUB_EXT Create Search Profiles for External Postings
DISPATCH_CPOINTER_FOR_PUB_INT Create Search Profiles for Internal Postings
DISPATCH_CPOINTER_FOR_CDCY Create Search Profiles for Assignments (Candidate/Requisition and Application/Requisition)
DISPATCH_CPOINTER_FOR_REQ Create Search Profiles for Requisitions
DISPATCH_CPOINTER_FOR_DOC Create Search Profiles of Documents

Other services that are delivered with the standard system:

Service Description
DELETE_DEREGISTERED_CANDIDATES Deletion of Candidates Who Deleted Their Registration
DELETE_REQUISITION Deletion of Requisitions
DELETE_TMP_PL_ATTACHMENT Deletion of Temporary Attachments
HIRE_REQUEST_VIA_XI Data Transfer to HR System Using XI
PUBLICATION_VIA_XI Publication Using XI
PROCESS_CAND_STATUS_CHANGE Status changes in infotype 0000 (Actions) must be reflected in the E-Recruiting system. Example: An employee leaves the company at the end of a month. The associated internal candidate becomes an external candidate. Note: The service must be performed on a daily basis.
HANDLE_UNVERIFIED_CANDIDATES Sending of reminder mails to unconfirmed candidates (candidates who are not yet verified) / Change verification status information of candidates from Outstanding to Not Confirmed as the validity period for the confirmation by the candidate was exceeded. This service is relevant within the framework of the e-mail verification of candidates who have registered in the Talent Warehouse.

Note

If you use deletion via the functions of SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and the archiving objects HRRCF_CAND and HRRCF_REQ at the same time as deletion via the periodic services DELETE_DEREGISTERED_CANDIDATES and DELETE_REQUISITION, and schedule background jobs for this, this can lead to inconsistencies.

We recommend that you perform deletion using archiving objects rather than the services mentioned in this document.

If you start using archiving objects for your deletion processes at a later time, you must delete your entries for the DELETE_DEREGISTERED_CANDIDATES and DELETE_REQUISITION services from the following Customizing activities first:

For more information about the archiving objects, see SAP Library for SAP ERP Central Component under help.sap.com/erp -> Human Resources -> Archiving and Destruction of Data in Human Resources (HR) -> Archiving and Destroying International Personal Data -> Destroying SAP E-Recruiting Data (PA-ER).

Note

The service ERP_EE_TO_INT_CAND, which was required to synchronize data between the HR master data of the employee and internal candidates of SAP E-Recuiting, is no longer part of the standard system and thus obsolete, and cannot be used any longer.
For more information about setting up the synchronous data reconciliation between HR master data and E-Recruiting data, see the Customizing activity Software Runs on One Instance.

HANDLE_UNVERIFIED_CANDIDATES

Specify which periodic services you want to use and assign classes to them.
