ERC_PER_SER_JOB - Schedule Background Process for Periodic Services

In this Customizing activity, you set up the background process for services that are performed periodically.

The services create and index the search profiles in the background, for example.

You have performed the Customizing activity Activate Periodic Services.

• Schedule the report RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES as a periodic background process.

Recommendation

We recommend that you choose a period between 10 and 30 minutes to ensure the search results are up-to-date. Any changes to the data are taken into account during the search only after the search profiles have been created.

• Schedule the RCF_UPDATE_EXT_CANDIDATES report as a periodical background process. The report prevents external candidates from being able to log on to the backend system.
