In this IMG activity, you set up information areas. Information areas group EEO-specific information together. You can use queries to report on this information.

In a second step, you assign information structures to the information areas. The information structure serves as the data structure in an InfoSet.

When assigning information structures, make sure that they have been set up and activated as DDIC (Data Dictionary) structures. If you want to use customer-specific structures, you must also define the corresponding DDIC table type. For more information about this, see the Application Help for the topic InfoSet Query.

Assign an ID to an information area and enter a descriptive text for it. Assign information structures to the information area by entering the DDIC names of the structures.

You should not assign one structure to different information areas unless it makes sense to do so from a business point of view. Ideally, a structure should be assigned to only one information area.

You want to set up reports for EEO information in North America, so you create the information area 001 (North America) for this purpose.

You assign the information structure RCF_S_QUERY_EEO to information area 001.

The name of the information area is displayed on the user interface in the user's logon language when questions of the category EEO Information are maintained. You should therefore assign intuitive names to information area in the various possible logon languages.
