ESS_PAJP_FWS_003 - Define Daily Work Schedules

Employees can change their regular daily work schedules (DWS) using the Employee Self-Service (ESS) applications of Daily Work Schedule Management.

In this Customizing activity, you can define the daily work schedules that will be available to an application user as options of the target DWS for the requested date.

Create the daily work schedules according to the instructions in the Define Daily Work Schedules activity in Customizing for Time Management under Work Schedule -> Daily Work Schedules -> Define Daily Work Schedules.

Recommendation:

The ESS applications enable the users to create a single request that causes changes in DWS of two days to keep the working hours in a period unchanged. If you would like to use this function, we recommend that you create new DWSs specially for substitution, and use a particular naming convention for them to distinguish from others.

If you create substitution DWSs, you need to map them in pairs in the Customizing activity Map Substitution Daily Work Schedules.
