ESS_UI5_RFC_CREATE - Create RFC Connection

In this Customizing activity, you create an RFC connection for the following:
- Web Dispatcher Connection
- To connect the Web Dispatcher system as a target system to the employee self-service composite role required for the landing page
- Connection for Navigation
Web Dispatcher Connection
To set up the Web Dispatcher connection in this Customizing activity, proceed as follows:
- Expand HTTP Connections to External Server and choose Create.
- Enter the data as follows:

| RFC Destination | RFC Destination Name for the Web Dispatcher system | |
| Description 1 | Meaningful Description | |
| Target Host | Web Dispatcher Input Port |
- Choose Save.
Connection for Navigation
To set up the RFC destination to the HCM back-end system for navigation in the landing page, proceed as follows:
1. Choose ABAP Connections and create the RFC destination SAP_ECC_HumanResources with the connection type Connection to ABAP System.
2. Choose HTTP Connections to ABAP System and create another destination SAP_ECC_HumanResources_HTTP with the connection type HTTP Connection to ABAP System.
Note
The destination names are case sensitive.
