In this IMG activity, you can make a service unavailable to an employee according to his or her employment status.

If one assignment of an employee is terminated, you can prevent the employee from accessing certain services in that assignment, such as time management. You can also provide a grace period for which employees can still access the service in that assignment.

Identify the application that you wish to make unavailable by providing the following attributes:

  • Application ID
  • Application Name

Specify the employment status (assignment) that is not allowed to access the service from the following:

  • Withdrawn = 0
  • Inactive = 1
  • Retiree = 2
  • Active = 3

You can also specify a grace period during which the service is open, following the last status change.

Let us assume that you want to terminate an employee's employment (or one assignment if the employee has multiple contracts) with effect from today. After this action, the employee's employment status changes to Withdrawn. As a result, an employee must not be able to access the Personal Profile service for the terminated assignment.

Perform the following steps:

  1. Choose the IMG activity Configure Unavailability of Services Acc. (According) to Emp. (Employment) Status.
  2. Enter HRESS_A_PERSINFO as Application ID and specify HRESS_A_PERSINFO as Application Name.
  3. Enter the employment status value as 0 (Withdrawn).
  4. Save the configuration.
Note
The system will not allow the employee to start the HRESS_A_PERSINFO service for the terminated assignment.
  1. If you wish to allow the employee to access HRESS_A_PERSINFO for a period of 30 days after termination, enter 30 as the grace period value.
