In this activity, you define the applications (links to Web Dynpro Applications, reports, transactions, URLs, and so on) available in the Related Links section of the Launchpad (ABAP) service HRESS_A_MENU for the role Employee Self-Service.

You must implement the Business Package for Common Parts. For more information, see SAP Library for SAP ERP on SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/erp -> SAP ERP Central Component -> Business Packages (Portal Content) -> Business Package for Common Parts.

SAP delivers the following standard setup for the Related Links section in transaction LPD_CUST: Role=ESS; Instance=RELATED_LINKS

You can create all applications directly under the existing folders. To create applications, select the top level folder and choose New Application. Select the Application Type. Depending on this selection, further input fields are displayed, with which you can set or select the application's parameters.

If the application type selection results in the System Alias field being displayed, you must enter a System Alias.
