FAGL_SLL_EXCEP - Display Released Posting Applications

This Customizing activity provides a list of the applications (transactions, for example) for which you can activate time-dependent postings during certain phases of a project to switch the leading ledger:

  • Before the switch, the posting applications listed here can be used to make postings to the fiscal year after the switch date with the new logic or the leading ledger. This has the following implications for these postings:
  • Postings to the future leading ledger are made with integration into all subledgers and CO and into all company codes.

  • Postings to the future non-leading ledger are made without integration into the subledgers and CO and into other company codes.

  • After the switch, the posting applications listed here can be used to continue to make postings to the fiscal year before the switch date with the old logic or the leading ledger. This has the following implications for these postings:
  • Postings to the ledger that was the leading ledger before the switch are still made with integration into all subledgers and CO and into all company codes.

  • Postings to the ledger that was the non-leading ledger before the switch are still made without integration into the subledgers and CO and into other company codes.

This means that closing operations can be carried out with the logic or leading ledger applicable in a specific posting period regardless of the leading ledger switch. Note that not all the settings relevant for the postings are time dependent and are assigned time-dependent values during the switch project. Time independent settings and their values are therefore used for the time-dependent postings.

The posting applications displayed can be released using the following steps:

  • Release Switch Year for Specific Postings
  • Release Old Fiscal Year for Specific Postings

Caution: All the posting applications displayed here are always released.

Background:
  • When the switch project is activated, all ledger-specific postings to the fiscal year as of which the new leading ledger is to apply are generally blocked ( Ledger-Specific Postings to Switch Year Are Blocked (FAGL_SLL_XPOST_CHECK_NEW) indicator is set).
  • When the Confirm Preparation of Ledger Switch (640) or Switch Leading Ledger (650) activity is executed, all ledger-specific postings to the fiscal year before the fiscal year as of which the new leading ledger is to apply are generally blocked ( Ledger-Specific Postings to Year Prior to Switch (FAGL_SLL_XPOST_CHECK_OLD) indicator is set).

In the standard SAP system, this Customizing activity includes all permitted posting applications that can be released for time-dependent posting during the leading ledger switch project.
