FARRIC_POB_BILITM - Create Performance Obligation for SD Billing Item

You use this customizing view to create a performance obligation (POB) for SD billing items.

• If the referenced sales order or contract item doesn't create a POB, a POB is created.

• POBs are created without a contract or order reference.

• Debit or credit memos that reference the billing documents and cancellations update the created POB.

You maintained SOrg, BillT, ItCa, and RevAcc Type. Items not configured won't generate RAIs.

During SD billing processing, you check RevAcc Type in the billing document table. If it isn't relevant, the customizing view of billing items for revenue accounting and reporting is read.

If RevAcc Type is relevant at invoice level and ItCa is maintained as not relevant at order level, an SD03 RAI is created. An SD01 RAI is generated after mapping from SD03 to SD01 and sent for POB creation.

• An external application creates an SD billing document without a preceding SD order.

• A billing document is created in reference to an order irrelevant for revenue accounting and reporting.

In both examples, the revenue accounting and reporting POB is created by the SD billing items since no preceding document created the POBs.
