This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Revenue Accounting (FI-RA) component. You can use this BAdI to apply your own processing logic when you need to derive duration of performance obligation for capitalized cost. A performance obligation for capitalized cost has the following features:
- It is not attached to any other performance obligations.
- It is derived from an operational document item.
- It only contains capitalized cost conditions. You can maintain condition types dedicated to capitalized costs in Define Roles for Condition Types.
- It must contain event type "CC."
- It is always excluded from price allocation.
You can use the method DERIVE_COAC_ATTR to derive attributes of a performance obligation for capitalized cost. The attributes include the following fields:
- Duration
- Duration Unit
- Deferral Method
- Start Date
- End Date
- Start Date Type
Note: Start date in the export structure will only be taken over when the start date type is "Available on Creation of Performance Obligation."
This BAdI only works when contract has performance obligations for capitalized cost.
