You can use this step to determine the first program grouping. This means that you can group employees according to a unit required by you. For each group, you need to enter a 4-character code and a description.

Using the feature First Program Grouping (BENGR) you can set up the first program grouping according to employee characteristics. The returned return value contains one of the groups you have just defined. The value is one the factors that determines in which program the employee can participate.

Even if you do not wish to differentiate, you need to define at least one group, which you need to assign to all employees using the BENGR feature.

  1. Determine which units you wish to define in your organization
  2. Click the "New Entry" button
  3. Enter a code consisting of 4 digits or letters for "First Program Grouping" and a description
  4. Click the "Feature" button and set up feature First Program Grouping(BENGR)
  5. Save your entries

Your organization has office-based personnel (BIND) who can participate in the bicycle scheme and field-service personnel (BUID) who can participate in the car ruling. By setting up the BENGR feature you can use this organizational distinction to assign programs to groups of employees.
