You can use this step to determine a grouping for the eligibility. This means you can group employees according to eligibility criteria. You must define a 4-character code and a description for each group. The code determines the accessibility rules for an employee group for possible participation in the benefit plan.

You can use the feature Eligibility Grouping (ELIGR) to set up eligibility groups according to employee characteristics.

Even if you do not wish to differentiate, you must define a minimum of one employee group, which you must assign to all employees using the ELIGR feature.

Determine which eligibility grouping you wish to define within your organization

  1. Press the "New Entry" button
  2. For each eligibility group, enter a code consisting of 4 digits or letters and a description
  3. Press the "Feature" button and set up the Eligibility Grouping (ELIGR)
  4. Save the data entered

In your organization, an employee can only participate in a plan, if he or she works 80% or more. If the employee is disabled or partially unfit for work, this restriction does not apply. You can now enter the codes DLNR (participant), NDLR (non-participant) and GEHC (disabled). By setting up the ELIGR feature, you can use this distinction to make benefit plans available to employees.
