In this Customizing activity, you can define the authorization groups that you want to use in the SAP S/4HANA Financial Closing cockpit. You use authorization groups to define the task groups, templates, task lists, and tasks that users can perform activities on.

When you create an authorization group, you specify whether you want to use the authorization group for task groups, templates, and task lists or for tasks. You can assign the authorization groups that you create in this Customizing activity to the task groups, templates, task lists, and tasks that you create in the Define Templates and Task Groups Customizing activity.

The Financial Closing cockpit: Template/Task List/Task Group (B_FCC_TEMP) authorization object specifies the activities that users can perform on templates, task lists, and task groups. The Financial Closing cockpit: Task (B_FCC_TASK) authorization object specifies the activities that users can perform on tasks.

You assign authorization objects and authorization groups to the authorization profile of roles using transaction PFCG. The authorization profile defines which activities the users can perform on which task groups, templates, task lists, and tasks.
