FCOMV_CATEGORY_D - Define Budget Checks for Categories

You can specify the checks related to budget control for plan categories that store budgets instead of plan data.

You have created plan categories in the Maintain Category for Planning configuration activity with the following criteria:

  • Application type: Periodic Planning and Consolidation
  • Usage: Project Budgeting, Cost Center Budgeting, or Public Sector Budgeting

For each plan category, select whether availability control or budget consistency checks are available for budgets stored in that category.

  • Availability Control
Select this option to specify the plan data in this category as budgets for availability control. If this option is selected and someone posts actual data, the system checks whether budget is still available. For each usage, you must select one category for availability control.
  • Budget Consistency Checks
Select this option to turn on consistency checks when entering plan data. If this option is selected and someone enters plan data, the system checks that the current actual amounts are less than the plan amounts.

Once a category is in use, do not change its settings.
