India: Assign Transaction Types to Transaction Types Group

In this Customizing activity, you assign transaction types to transaction types groups.

For depreciation calculation, the system needs to map asset transaction type to block transaction type group. The report Update Asset Transaction Details at Block Level (J_1I_UPDBLKTRNS) does this based on the mapping maintained in this table.

Note

You have the following system defined transaction types groups:

  • Acquisition
  • Retirement
  • Transfer In
  • Transfer Out
  • Post Capitalization
  • Credit Memo
  • Investment Support

In case, you want to post asset values against additional transaction type group such as scrapping, write-up, you have to manually post them using the Adjustments to Asset Opening WDV or Transactions (J_1I_BLKADJUSTMENT) report.

Consider you have maintained the following values in this view:

Transaction type Transaction type description Transaction type group
200 Retirement without revenue Retirement

If you post an amount for an asset with transaction type 200, then the systems will consider this as retirement amount for the block.
