To update Cash Management, you need to assign a planning level for the combinations of company code, product type, and activity type. The Cash Management planning level explains the origin of the opening and closing account balances for the cash position and liquidity forecast.

You can define planning levels in the Define Planning Levels configuration activity.

Predefined content is delivered.

  1. In the first dialog box, choose a company code.
You see the predefined content for the company code.
  1. You can change the existing entries.
  2. If you would like to enter new settings for additional combinations of product type and activity type, choose New Entries.
    1. Enter the product type.
    2. The Status of Data Record field is not relevant for Treasury and Risk Management. Enter 0 in this field.
    3. Enter the activity category.
    4. Assign the planning level for cases where the bank is known (for example, SE Securities, MM Money Market Deals, FX Foreign Exchange Deals, DR Derivative Deals, FO Foreign Exchange Options, or TF Trade Finance).
In this case, you choose to post to G/L accounts on the Payment Details tab in a transaction.
  1. Assign the planning level for cases where the bank is not known (for example, ND Derivative Deals (Bank Unknown), NF Forex Deals (Bank Unknown), NM MM Deals (Bank Unknown), NS Securities (Bank Unknown), or NTTrade Finance (BN)).
In this case, you choose to post to customer accounts on the Payment Details tab in a transaction (with or without payment requests or payment orders).
  1. Save your entries.
