Define the structure for the Statement of Changes in General Ledger

In this configuration activity, you define the structure for the Statement of Changes in General Ledger by making assignments in the following steps:

Statement of Changes Type

• Assign Semantic Tags to Statement of Changes Type

• Assign Transaction Types to Statement of Changes Type

In this step, you can create different statement of changes types for use cases, such as Statement of Changes in Provisions and Statement of Changes in Equity.

In this step, you assign semantic tags, in combination with the GL account hierarchy, to the statement of changes type.

You can define the GL account hierarchy in the Manage Global Hierarchies app.

You can create and display semantic tags in the Define Semantic Tags for Financial Statement Versions configuration activity.

In this step, you assign consolidation transaction types to the statement of changes type.

You can maintain transaction type for consolidation in the Maintain Transaction Types for Consolidation configuration activity.

After you've defined the structure for statement of changes, you can use the Statement of Changes in General Ledger app to analyze several kinds of statement of changes, such as statement of changes in equity or in provisions.
