In this Customizing activity, you maintain the settings of the target ledger. For example, you can set a variant for opening and closing posting periods.

The target ledger and the description from the project definition are automatically copied into the ledger maintenance where the system assigns default values to it.

You can change some of the parameters. For example, you can change the posting period variant. Other parameters, such as the local currency, are fixed and cannot be changed.

In order to connect the ledger with the company codes and currency types, you must save your entries after you are done.

You have created a project for the subsequent implementation of an additional ledger and you have defined the target ledger.

1. Select the project ID.
2. Select Maintain Target Ledger Settings.

The system displays the Change View "Ledger": Overview.

1. Maintain you settings and values for the target ledger.
2. Save you entries.

You must save your entries in order for the system to establish a connection between the target ledger, its company codes and currency types.
