FINSV_TKA00_PC - Activate Profit Center Accounting in Controlling Area

In this Customizing activity, you activate Profit Center Accounting in the fiscal year-dependent settings of the controlling area.

Activating Profit Center Accounting will switch on some additional checks which ensure a consistent derivation of the profit center during postings.

You have created fiscal year-dependent settings for the controlling area in theMaintain Controlling Area Customizing activity for at least one fiscal year.

Please note that fiscal year here means a “from” fiscal year, that is, indicating the start of a period that can last longer than only one year. This period is valid until a new fiscal year entry is made.

After you have activated Profit Center Accounting, the system will run a check when creating a cost center or creating an internal order that prompts the user to enter a profit center.
