Assign a grouping rule to accounting principles.

If you have defined your own rule for grouping journal entry line items for valuation, you can assign it in this customizing activity to one or several accounting principles.

If you are using the advanced valuation runs, each accounting principle should be assigned to a grouping rule.

If no grouping rule is assinged to the accounting principle, then the valuation runs at period end will group the journal entry line items according to a fallback grouping logic; for more details see here.
