The ABAP interface residing in the ERP backend reads the X.509 certificate that is sent from the SAP Cloud Connector, extracts its issuer and ensures that this certificate issuer is maintained to be trustful. Otherwise, the request is rejected.
This X.509 certificate is registered as system certificate in the SAP Cloud Connector.
You specify the name of the certificate issuer in this customizing activity.
