In this Customizing activity you set the migration to completed.

If you set the migration to completed, users are allowed again to make postings in the system.

If you do not set the migration to completed users are not able to make postings in the system and receive the message that you defined in the Customizing activity Define Message Types for Posting Before and During Migration.

  • You have finished all activities required for a complete migration.
  • Your data is complete and you have corrected all erroneous data.

The system then performs the following checks:

  • Completed check:
The system checks if another user has already set the migration to completed. In this case an info message is issued and it is not possible to set the migration to completed again.
  • Customizing consistency check:
The system checks if the ledger settings are consistent
If an error occurs in this step, you can't set the migration to completed.
  • Redirect check:
The system checks, if the tables listed below have been replaced by CDS-views (so-called compatibility views). As long as the redirect hasn't been performed the system will not work properly.
The following tables are checked: ANLC, ANLP, ANEK, ANEP, ANEA, COEP, COVP, (additionally in S/4HANA: MBEW, MBEWH, EBEW, EBEWH, QBEW, QBEWH, OBEW, OBEWH).
If an error occurs in this step, you can't set the migration to completed.
  • Count ACDOCA:
The system checks if the documents have been migrated to the Universal Journal. For this the number of records in ACDOCA is compared with the number of records in COEP, BSEG and FAGLFLEXA. If the number of records in ACDOCA is not plausible, an error is issued.
If an error occurs in this step, you can set the migration to completed anyway - if you're sure that the migration was performed properly.
  • Check pending packages:
The system checks whether all steps of the migration have been performed successfully. All steps must be finished and if errors occurred, they must be set to accepted.
If an error occurs in this step, you can set the migration to completed anyway - if you're sure that the migration was performed properly.

A log will be displayed with the result of the above checks. Critical errors (which prevent the user from completing the migration, only Customizing checks and Redirect checks) are shown with a stop icon. Other errors (which the user can skip) are show with a red light.

If the migration was not yet set to completed and if there is no critical error, the function "Set to completed" is shown. If there are no relevant errors left, you may press the button and confirm the popup in order to set the migration to completed.

Start the activity.
