FINS_SIS_EXEC_INFO - Information: Execution Phase

This phase includes all data enrichment and reconciliation activities that are necessary to subsequently implement Document Splitting. You can find these activities in the project cockpit.

Before you begin with this phase, make sure that all activities described in the Preparatory Phase have been carried out.

To run the data enrichment and reconciliation activities, the authorization object FINS_MPROJ must be assigned to your user.

To ensure that your accounting data has been correctly prepared and enriched for the implementation of document splitting, all steps of the Execution Phase must be carried out in your production system.

This phase doesn’t have an impact on daily business and can be performed without downtime.

Please note that the Execution Phase must be started before you open the period or fiscal year, in which document splitting has been activated. You must ensure that all open items have been enriched before new journal entries are posted into this period.

After you have closed the fiscal year, you need to run the second part of the enrichment activities. This includes the enrichment of the opening balances and the corresponding reconciliation steps.

The Execution Phase is closed when you set the Confirm Data Enrichment status. This is the last activity in the project cockpit.

Please keep in mind that once you have set the status for the activity, Activate Document Splitting, in the project cockpit, you can no longer reset the project in the production system.
