FIN_MIG_PREP - Before You Start the Preparations and Migration of Customizing

The migration activities in the following chapters, such as Preparations and Migration of Customizing for General Ledger and Preparations and Migration of Customizing for Accrual Engine, must only be executed in the development system.
The activities in these chapters generate Customizing entries, which are recorded in Customizing transports in the same way manual Customizing changes are recorded. You then transport these Customizing transports to the quality and production system.
You must perform the migration of transactional data (unlike the migration of Customizing data) under Data Migration and Activities after Migration in all systems with transactional data, which can be any one of the following systems:
- Development system
- Quality system
- Production system
In quality and production systems, you must first import the Customizing transports before you migrate transactional data.
