FIO_ORG_002 - Define Node Types

In this Customizing activity, you define the node types for the Organizational Chart Fiori app. A node type corresponds to a certain card type that can be displayed within a chart. You also define the layout of the different card types in this activity.

For each node type, you can make the following settings:

• Display icons for certain card types (e.g., for managers or vacant positions).

• Display a picture, if available, or a place holder avatar icon.

• Display the number of sub nodes that are directly assigned to the node.

• Define the frame color of the corresponding card.

• Define the maximum number of attributes displayed on the corresponding card.

• Define a name for the node type. This name is displayed in the legend of the org chart viewer control.

To assign the node types created in this activity to a view, use the Customizing activity Assign Node Types to Views.
